This position is primarily responsible for determining complex user requirements, providing appropriate automated solutions and support, and servicing various users throughout the firm. The systems environment includes the CRM and the Intranet with some financial information cross-over. Position reports directly to the Manager of Software Development and Integration. - Gathers and organizes complex requirements from general users and various levels of management.
- Designs, creates and maintains complex programs and reports, using ASP; ASP.Net; VB, VB.Net, HTML, Crystal Reports and SQL Server.
- Thoroughly understands in-house SQL databases and user Interfaces.
- Actively investigates new tools and methods to support and improve the computing environment.
- Works well with other team members by providing training and consulting on projects.
- Works under minimal supervision.
- Provides end users with progress reports regarding their requests.
- Provides team members and management with ongoing status of all activities and issues.
- Escalates issues to appropriate management by recognizing severity and impact on users and other IT systems.
- Efficiently manages time for completing urgent requests. • Provides backup for team members where needed.
- Utilizes all aspects of the Software Team Methodologies and SOPP where appropriate. This includes: requirements; design; coding; testing; implementation. Ensures that all project activities are thoroughly documented and current.
- Utilizes VSS to organize and secure all work products.
- Provides administrative support of IIS servers.
- Follows necessary work processes and procedures necessary for Sarbanes Oxley.
- Utilizes appropriate tools for above duties.
