Responsible for developing and enhancing software that implements both the investment models as well as the necessary diagnostics/analytics to support the overall investment process at company.

• On a project basis, performs systems design, coding, testing, documentation, and implementation activities as required.
  
• Must be able to translate a model specification document into working code that can run daily in our production system.
  
• Supports and extends existing research production code, including necessary diagnostics and analytics.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Economics or a closely related field from a four-year college or university.
  
• Coursework in Financial Engineering and Econometrics are highly desirable.
  
• Experience with PERL and at least one statistical programming language/system highly desirable.
  
• Experience with Java or C++ is also desirable.
  
• Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to employees and third parties.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical programming instructions and documentation.
  
• Ability to construct appropriate algorithms to solve business applications design problems.
  
• Ability to apply common sense and logic to understand and develop and/or implement computer programs responsive to specific needs and requirements.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively with other programmers, data base administrators, systems administrators, and a variety of people within the Firm’s business units.
